For the chocolate version, substitute chocolate cake mix and chocolate pudding mix instead of yellow cake mix and lemon pudding mix.
Follow the recipe as normal. For the glaze, I cut it down by half as I had way too much glaze the first go-round. Instead of lemon juice, I just used water. I also cut out the lemon zest and didn't add a substitute (I guess you could use coffee to make a mocha flavor). The glaze amount was more reasonable, though I kind of ran out and just glazed the tops of the last few mini-muffins.
So the chocolate version is pretty good and I vouch for its feasibility. However, I don't think it's as good as the original lemon version. There's just something about that lemon that makes it vocal-exclamation-after-you-bite-into-it good.
