Krackel Brownies

You know what we haven't had in a while? A POST. So despite the fact that I have no pictures to include, I'm going to go ahead and type out a very easy improvement on regular Betty Crocker fudge brownies... I made them once because I was feeling lazy, but they have become a favorite of my handbell choir. I have a few other bar recipes that I've been using but haven't typed up yet; I'll make it a goal to get some of those up here! :)

Here's what you need:

1 box brownie mix
1/4 cup water
2/3 cup vegetable oil
2 eggs

3 cups Rice Krispies
3/4 cup peanuts, coarsely chopped
1 cup peanut butter
1 bag chocolate chips

Here's what you do:
  1. Prepare brownies as directed on the box, cool completely.
  2. Mix Rice Krispies and peanuts in a bowl, set aside.
  3. Melt the peanut butter and chocolate chips in a saucepan over medium heat, stirring frequently.
  4. Pour the melted chocolate over the Rice Krispies and stir until they're coated.
  5. Spread over the brownies like frosting.
  6. Cool completely, then cut and serve!
